1) No preparation for Interview
If you will not prepare for the interview than it is possible that you even not being to answer the questions, such as “What do you know about the organization?” and this may end your quest for employment with this employer. 2) Improper Dressing
Improper dressing may cause difficulties to get success in the interview. You should dress accordingly to the position for which you will be interviewed and if you are not sure what to wear than you can visit the organization and watch the employees’ dressing to get idea that what should be wear.
3) Bad Communication Skills
It is necessary for you to communicate effectively with everyone you meet in your search to get job. The most important thing is that you should positively connect to the person who might give you the job offer. Do the things, such as shake hands, be confident, engage the interviewer and you must assure the interviewer that you are the most suitable candidate for the position before the beginning of your interview.
4) Communicate too Much
You believe it or not that a recent candidate for employment didn’t hesitate to answer his cell phone when it rang during the interview. You should leave the phone or at least turn it off before the interview and you should not concentrate on coffee,food and anything else other than you, your resume and your interview.
5) Too Much Talking
It is not necessary to tell all of your life history to the interviewer because interviewer is not interested in this, if you do this than it is not possible for you to get the opportunity. You should answer the questions asked to you during interview and must be to the point in giving answers.
6) Don’t Talk Enough
It is very difficult to communicate a person who answers any question with the words which are not enough to answer. I taken some interviews where I was pulling teeth to get answer from the candidate and it was unpleasant to me, you should be responsive and should answer completely to the question.
7) Some Fuzzy Facts
It may be possible that you may be asked to fill out the job application form for which you submitted a resume. You should know the information required to fill out the job application form, such as prior work experience, employer contact information and education details.
8. Reply with Wrong Answer
You should gather your thoughts before answering a question and also make sure that you understand the question completely, only than you have to answer for the question because a wrong answer can knock yourself out of contention.
9) Badmouthing Previous Employers
Questions like Your last boss was an idiot? In the company, everyone is a jerk , you should not say these questions even if they true because you don’t know that who your interviewer might know and it may be possible that your interviewer thinks that you may badmouth this way about his/her organization when you will find any of irrelevant terms.
10) Forget About Follow Up?
You should follow up with thank, it shows your interest in the position and the organization. Finally, if you not performed well in the interview , don’t take it to heart you should learn from your mistakes and move on to the next suitable opportunity.
